Several communities in Uganda rely on boreholes that are now damaged or failing, forcing hundreds of people—men, women, and children—to travel long distances for unsafe water. Broken pipes, rusted parts, and unreliable wells put health at risk and make daily water collection dangerous. Many must walk through traffic, dense vegetation, and steep paths to reach contaminated streams or springs. Rehabilitating these 11 boreholes will restore clean, safe water to schools and communities, improving health and safety. This work ensures reliable access so children can attend school and families can thrive without risking their well-being.
