Escuela Luis Daniel Fonseca in Danlí, Honduras, has piped water, but it is untreated and unsafe to drink. With only one damaged latrine and no place to wash hands, poor sanitation has led families to send their children to other schools. A new WASH project will provide clean water access, improved latrines, and handwashing stations to create a healthier environment. Students and teachers will also receive hygiene and sanitation training, including menstrual hygiene education. These improvements will help restore enrollment and give students a safe, supportive place to learn.
