Wayuu Primary School serves 348 students who dream of brighter futures, but the lack of safe water makes learning difficult. Students must fetch drinking water from a nearby river, and the school has no bathrooms or handwashing stations. This creates an unsanitary environment and leads to frequent waterborne illness. In response, Lifewater International will provide hygiene training for teachers and build durable bathrooms and handwashing stations connected to rainwater tanks. These improvements will create a healthier environment where students can focus on their education and future goals.
